Exciting news for car enthusiasts in India! Skoda has officially confirmed the launch of the new-gen Skoda Kodiaq and Skoda Superb for 2025, promising to elevate the brand’s presence in the Indian automotive market.
What’s the New-gen Skoda Kodiaq and Superb?
New-Generation Skoda Kodiaq
The much-anticipated new-gen Skoda Kodiaq is set to hit Indian roads by May 2025. This premium SUV will be locally assembled at Skoda’s facility in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, starting from March 2025. Peter Janeba, Brand Director of Skoda Auto India, revealed that the Kodiaq is currently undergoing testing in India, with several pre-production models already spotted on the streets.
The new Kodiaq will feature a striking design overhaul, including a bold butterfly grille and split LED headlamps. Inside, expect a modern cabin equipped with a 10-inch Virtual Cockpit, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and luxurious touches like massage seats and a high-end Canton sound system. The SUV will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine delivering around 201 bhp, paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.
Pricing for the new Kodiaq is expected to start between Rs. 45 lakh to Rs. 50 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it against competitors like the Toyota Fortuner and Jeep Meridian
New-Generation Skoda Superb
Alongside the Kodiaq, the new-generation Skoda Superb is also confirmed for launch in 2025. Although specific details about its features and pricing are still under wraps, this model is expected to carry Skoda’s legacy of luxury and performance in the sedan segment. The Superb has long been celebrated for its spacious interior and cutting-edge technology, making it a favourite among executive car buyers.
With both the new Kodiaq and Superb set to debut in 2025, Skoda is gearing up for a significant year in India. These launches not only reflect Skoda’s commitment to enhancing its product lineup but also cater to the growing demand for premium vehicles in the Indian market.
