Hyundai is making headlines with the announcement that bookings for the new Hyundai Creta Electric are now officially open! Starting at a token amount of just Rs 25,000, this highly anticipated electric SUV is set to revolutionize the EV landscape in India. The Creta Electric will be unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo on January 17, 2025, and it promises to be Hyundai’s most affordable electric vehicle yet.
What to Expect from the New Hyundai Creta Electric
The new Hyundai Creta Electric retains the beloved design of its internal combustion engine counterpart while incorporating unique EV features. This includes a closed grille, aerodynamic alloy wheels, and active air flaps for improved efficiency. Customers can choose from 10 vibrant colors, including three stunning matte finishes.
Inside, the Creta Electric boasts a modern cabin inspired by the premium Ioniq 5, featuring a fully digital instrument cluster and a state-of-the-art infotainment system. It will offer two battery options: a 42 kWh battery with a range of 390 km and a 51.4 kWh battery that extends the range to an impressive 473 km. This flexibility caters to both city commuters and those looking for longer journeys.
Creta Electric Charging, Safety and Variants
Hyundai has ensured that charging the Creta Electric is convenient, with options for DC fast charging that can take the battery from 10% to 80% in just 58 minutes. Alternatively, an 11 kW AC wall box charger will fully charge the battery in about four hours.
Safety features are robust, including Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and Six-airbags. The Creta Electric will be available in four trims: Executive, Smart, Premium, and Excellence, providing options for various preferences and budgets.
With its competitive pricing expected to start around Rs. 20-30 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Hyundai Creta Electric is set to compete with models like the Tata Curvv EV and Mahindra BE 6e. Interested customers can book their vehicle online or at their nearest Hyundai dealership starting today.
