Hyundai Inster EV Cross get unveiled globally with a rugged makeover

Remember the Hyundai Inster EV, the small electric car that came out a few months ago? Well, Hyundai just gave it a tough new look. They’re calling this version the Inster EV Cross, and it’s designed to look more ready for adventure.

What’s New? The Inster EV Cross looks beefier than its regular cousin. It has new bumpers on the front and back that are more square-shaped. There’s also some black plastic around the wheel areas to make it look tougher. Hyundai added a rack on the roof for carrying extra stuff and some new 17-inch wheels. If you want to stand out, there’s even a new green paint color that doesn’t shine – it’s called “Amazonas Green Matte.”

Inside, it’s mostly the same as the regular Inster EV, but they added some bright yellow touches to the seats and dashboard to make it feel special.

Under the Hood Even though it looks different on the outside, the Inster EV Cross works just like the regular version. You can choose between two battery sizes:

  1. A smaller 42 kWh battery that can go about 300 km on a charge
  2. A bigger 49 kWh battery that can go about 355 km

The car with the smaller battery has 96 horsepower, while the one with the bigger battery has 113 horsepower. Both can charge up really fast – from 10% to 80% in just half an hour if you use a special quick charger.

Why Make This New Version? Hyundai thinks that by making the Inster look tougher, more people might want to buy it. It’s part of their plan to offer more electric cars that regular folks can afford.

What Else Can It Do? The Inster (both regular and Cross versions) has some cool features:

  • Two big 10.25-inch screens inside for showing information
  • You can use your phone as a key to unlock and start the car
  • It has cameras all around to help with parking and safety

When Can We Get It in India? Hyundai is planning to bring more affordable electric cars to India soon. They’ll start with an electric version of their popular Creta SUV. The Inster EV might come to India after that, where it could compete with other small electric cars like the Citroen eC3 and Tata Punch EV.

So there you have it – Hyundai’s taking their cute little electric car and giving it a dose of adventure spirit. It’s the same Inster underneath, just with a tougher outfit on top!
